Since the dawn of the World Wide Web, developers have launched a staggering variety of web browsers to help users navigate the expanding digital frontier. Early pioneers defined the user experience, but the landscape shifted rapidly as competition intensified.

Consequently, the market has witnessed a continuous cycle where browsers emerge, peak, and eventually fade into the “software graveyard.” In contrast to those that enjoyed a moment of glory, many ambitious start-ups failed to meet technical expectations or struggled to secure a loyal user base. Ultimately, this relentless evolution ensured that only the most adaptable software survived the ever-changing demands of the modern web.

All web browsers come with a logo. Can you identify a browser from its logo? From the many hundreds of browsers, below are some of the logos used. Can you put a name to them?

To download an individual image, right-click on the enlarged image you want and select “Save image as”. This will open a save dialog where you can save the file to your computer. You can use any of the images for your quizzes, but not re-publish them in any format. The images are in SVG format (Scalable Vector Graphics), an XML-based vector image format. Usable in most, if not all, word processors such as Microsoft Word, Google Docs, WPS Office, LibreOffice, etc. The picture’s filename is its answer.
