Hanna-Barbera produced family-based domestic animated situation comedies, The Flintstones and The Jetsons. The Flintstones is set in a comical version of the Stone Age with machines powered by birds and dinosaurs. The show’s characters were loosely based on the sitcom The Honeymooners. The Jetsons is a Space Age counterpart set in the future with elaborate robotic contraptions, aliens, holograms, and whimsical inventions. Hanna-Barbera Productions is now part of Warner Bros. Animation.
